Hello, I’m Jacqueline, or Jackie for short. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and am a licensed psychotherapist. As a therapist, I deeply value collaboration, emphasizing relational attunement and empathy to support clients’ growth and healing.

I bring 22 years of experience as a registered nurse with a diverse background in mental health, Indigenous community healthcare, and acute care. As a counsellor, I am particularly interested in supporting healthcare workers, parents, those parenting children with ADHD, women who have faced trauma, individuals with chronic health conditions, and those navigating anxiety, depression, and significant life changes.

I am deeply committed to supporting healthcare professionals grappling with moral injury, burnout, workplace violence, bullying, and harassment. Consequently, my graduate research focuses on addressing the trauma, violence, and oppression experienced by nurses within the healthcare system.

I practice from a person-centered, strength-based, approach that is informed by intersectional feminist values. I am trained in individual EFT and EMDR therapies and I am interested in deepening my skills in somatic attachment and relational psychotherapy.

I am a proud mother of two, wife, Maritimer and a passionate animal lover. I am honoured to be part of your journey and am currently accepting new clients.

Leslie Wilkin, MSW RSW RCC is a Registered Clinical Counsellor/Registered Social Worker. She holds an MSW from UBC and a BSW from Dalhousie University. She has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Complex Trauma and Sexual Abuse Intervention. Her specialization is working with clients to recover from trauma & anxiety disorders. She is trained in somatic psychotherapies, EMDR, and feminist therapy and utilizes a relational and process-oriented approach to counselling. Informed by interpersonal neurobiology, attachment, and systems theory, Leslie’s approach emphasizes safety, relationship, and embodied wisdom.
